Responsibilities

Manage industrial and commercial construction projects from estimating and pre-construction through completion and closeout.

Review bid documents, specifications, and drawings to prepare accurate cost estimates, quantity take-offs, and project proposals.

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, vendors, and project stakeholders.

Coordinate and oversee excavation, demolition, concrete foundations, flatwork, and structural steel construction activities.

Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, procurement activities, and resource allocation to ensure successful project execution.

Lead and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel while monitoring productivity, quality, and performance.

Interpret architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, civil, and shop drawings to support project planning and execution.

Manage project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, progress reports, and cost forecasting.

Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, quality standards, and The State Group's policies, including ISO 9001:2015 requirements.

Identify and mitigate project risks, conduct cost analysis, and drive projects to successful completion while meeting schedule, budget, and quality objectives.
Requirements

5+ years of construction project management and/or estimating experience.

Experience managing industrial and commercial construction projects.

Strong knowledge of excavation, demolition, concrete foundations, flatwork, and structural steel construction.

Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, civil, mechanical, and electrical drawings and specifications.
-
Experience preparing estimates, quantity take-offs, project budgets, schedules, and cost forecasts.

Proven experience managing subcontractors, procurement activities, vendor relationships, and project contracts.

Knowledge of building systems, including structural, building envelope, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems.

Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Strong organizational, communication, negotiation, and time-management skills with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

Experience managing projects ranging from service and maintenance work to large multi-discipline turnkey projects.

Knowledge of applicable building codes, safety regulations, and quality management systems; ISO 9001:2015 experience is considered an asset.

Strong problem-solving abilities and a proven track record of delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget.
