Senior Accountant (Guadalajara, Jalisco)

The Senior Accountant will play a critical role in supporting the accounting operations a Retirement Community during a period of significant transformation and growth. This is a hands-on accounting position for a highly motivated professional who thrives in fast-paced environments, takes ownership of deliverables, and consistently meets deadlines.

• →Perform full-cycle accounting activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and month-end close.
• →Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules.
• →Analyze financial transactions and identify discrepancies or unusual variances.
• →Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
• →Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.
• →Assist with financial statement preparation and reporting activities.
• →Support internal and external audits.
• →Collaborate with team members to resolve accounting issues and improve processes.
• →Ensure all assigned deliverables are completed accurately and within established deadlines.
• →Escalate risks, blockers, or missing information proactively rather than waiting until deadlines are missed.
• →Contribute to process improvements and operational efficiencies.

• Bachelor's degree in Public Accounting.
• Professional License (Cédula Profesional).
• 7-8 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong full-cycle accounting experience.
• Hands-on experience with month-end close.
• Experience preparing and reviewing accruals, reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience working with operations teams at the property level.
• Eligible to work in Mexico.

• Experience working in a small public accounting firm.
• Experience in audit, tax, or accounting services environments.
• Experience supporting multi-entity accounting operations.
• Experience with Yardi.
