Community Development Executive

We are looking for a Community Development Executive to help build and scale community-based tourism experiences that generate sustainable income while preserving local culture and identity.

This role combines community engagement, project management, stakeholder collaboration, and tourism product development. You will work closely with community leaders, local stakeholders, and internal teams to transform local culture, traditions, skills, and experiences into meaningful tourism products that generate sustainable income opportunities.

In the near term, you will play a key role in strengthening and expanding our community partnership while helping build a model that can be replicated across future community projects.

• Build strong relationships with community leaders, local stakeholders, and partners.

• Work collaboratively with communities to identify opportunities and develop sustainable tourism experiences.

• Design, coordinate, and implement community-based projects and initiatives.

• Support the development of tourism products and experiences that showcase local culture, traditions, and community strengths.

• Collaborate closely with Product, Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams to bring community experience to market.

• Manage project timelines, budgets, stakeholder expectations, and project outcomes.

• Monitor project performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

• Support Discova's sustainability and ESG objectives through community-focused initiatives and partnerships.

• Represent Discova in community meetings, workshops, and stakeholder engagement activities.

• Experience in project management, stakeholder engagement, CSR, ESG, sustainability, tourism development, partnership management, or related fields.

• Strong project coordination and stakeholder management skills.

• Able to build trust and credibility with diverse stakeholders, including local communities, government representatives, business partners, and regional teams.

• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and drive projects forward.

• Excellent communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.

• Comfortable balancing community needs, sustainability goals, and business objectives.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Thai and English.

• Experience working with local communities, social enterprises, tourism initiatives, CSR programs, or sustainability projects would be an advantage.

• Regular travel to community locations is required. Comfortable traveling independently; have access to a vehicle is preferred.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, building partnerships, and turning ideas into meaningful projects.

This is not a traditional NGO or charity role. Rather than working for communities, you will work alongside communities to create sustainable tourism opportunities that can eventually generate income independently and thrive beyond Discova's own customer network.
