About the Opportunity

Flight Centre Travel Group (FCTG) is looking for a Workforce Planning Specialist to optimise rostering and drive data led workforce decisions.

You will play a key role in driving efficient, compliant, and data‑led rostering across the business.

As a Workforce Planning Specialist, you will partner closely with leaders and People Experience teams to create smart workforce solutions that balance operational needs with employee experience.

You will champion the rostering system, deliver insights, and ensure compliance, while supporting a fast‑paced, people‑focused environment.

This is an opportunity to make a tangible impact on workforce optimisation and team performance.

 

 

What you will do:

  • Develop, coordinate, and maintain employee rosters in line with relevant agreements and legislative requirements
  • Partner with Team Leaders, Area Leaders, Payroll, and People + Culture to support workforce planning needs
  • Deliver and analyse daily workforce data reports to key stakeholders
  • Optimise rostering practices to align with business requirements and minimise pay risk
  • Use data insights to identify opportunities for improvement in rostering and overtime usage
  • Analyse contracted FTE vs rostered shifts to optimise resource allocation
  • Facilitate training sessions to ensure leaders understand rostering compliance requirements
  • Provide proactive customer service and respond to internal rostering queries
  • Manage workload effectively while supporting team priorities and deadlines
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships and influence outcomes across the business

 

 

What you will need:

  • Experience or exposure to rostering, workforce planning, and/or payroll
  • Experience using rostering systems - Humanforce/TimeTarget experience is highly desirable
  • Strong customer service focus with ability to support internal stakeholders
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders
  • Highly organised with strong time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
  • Flexible and adaptable to change
  • Ability to work autonomously and deliver outcomes
  • Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving capability
  • FCTG/Travel and Tourism industry experience is a bonus
