✓Review payroll system to ensure union rate compliance
✓Assist with system setup requirements, including Jira Ticket creation, review and validation
✓Ensure compliance with Federal & Provincial payroll legislation and company policy
✓Process CRA Remittances
✓Process Garnishment’s
✓Process EHT Remittances
✓Process Union Payments
✓Respond to union inquiries
✓Liaison with branches on payroll related items
✓Maintain employee records as per government regulations
✓Assist with other duties as assigned
✓Minimum 2 years of experience in a payroll processing role and/or a strong understanding of fundamental payroll procedures.
✓Experience with analyzing deductions, remittances, taxes, CPP, EI is required
✓Experience with salaried, hourly union and non-union payroll is required
✓Knowledge of relevant government regulations across Canada
✓PCP or CPM designation preferred - or relevant work experience
✓Experience with SAP Success Factors preferred
✓Must have strong knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office, especially excel skills
✓Excellent written and verbal communication skills
✓Accuracy and detail orientated
✓Analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
