Summer 2027 Operational Risk Management Intern

The purpose of this internship is to give a college student the opportunity to experience all aspects of the Operational Risk Management (ORM) Department at FNB. This would include but not be limited to: engagement planning, documentation request and tracking, evaluation of evidence, preparation of work papers and reports, and interaction with assorted individuals throughout the Bank.

In the ORM intern role you have the opportunity to apply your knowledge of business, accounting, finance and information technology to real world scenarios across the enterprise. During this experience you will gain practical, challenging and meaningful on-the-job work experience as a Risk professional with an organization who is continuously recognized as a Top Workplace and Best Place to Work.

• →Participate in a limited amount of ORM-focused training to gain a basic understanding of department workflow.
• →Shadowing of ORM staff, Seniors and Project Leaders on their weekly activities.
• →Understand the FNB ORM universe and how we organize the independent reviews that will take place each year.
• →Participate in planning activities including sending out engagement letters to individuals and developing questionnaires and request lists to assist in the process.
• →Meet and help interview individuals for each assigned project.
• →Receive, categorize, and evaluate evidence received back for efficacy.
• →Participate in reviewing the documentation received and form an opinion on whether the evidence adequately supports the process in question.
• →Form conclusions and help shape the final report product.
• →Participate and attend FNB related events/trainings that are scheduled for all Summer Interns
