  • Must be enrolled in and completed 1 year of study at an ACPE Accredited College of Pharmacy.
  • If allowed by State Regulation, and authorized by the Pharmacist in Charge, receive oral prescriptions from prescribers or prescribers’ authorized designees. (This refers primarily to new telephone prescriptions.)
  • Provide and promote efficient and courteous service to customers at all times.
  • Answer telephone and handle questions that do not require a pharmacist’s expertise or judgment.
  • Receive written prescriptions or telephone refill requests.
  • Gather information needed to prepare prescriptions.
  • Record information needed before prescriptions can be dispensed.
  • Store written prescriptions forms after prescriptions are dispensed.
  • Enter data into computer.
  • Stock over the counter products.
  • Place completed prescriptions in pick-up area.
  • Assist in preparing insurance claims and verify payments.
  • Maintain a clean department and work area.
  • Assist in maintaining and stocking pharmacy department supplies.
  • Additional job duties may be assigned as needed.
  • Operate cash register.

  • Ability to meet standard Physical, Mental, and Visual demands
  • Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions, perform routine and repetitive tasks and have constant contact/interaction with various levels of individuals on a daily basis
  • Ability to attend on-site work during scheduled shifts to adhere to company time and attendance policies
