RESPONSIBILITIES
* Understand customer requirements and business goals, work closely with and support product manager/planning for new project proposals including product definitions, requirements, business case, etc.
* Develop project plans specifying goals, strategy, staffing, scheduling, identification of risks, contingency plans, and allocation of available resources leveraging team inputs and strengths.
* Implementation schedules and validation plans prior to any Engineering build.
* Manage project issues, decisions and risks, lead team to fix them and mitigate critical ones, and do escalation to sponsors as required.
* Direct and coordinate activities of project personnel (from cross functions) to ensure project progresses and successful delivery with defined targets in the aspect of quality, timeline, cost and so on.
* Lead suppliers by providing technical direction to establish and validate (utilizing statistical tools) process capability to company standards in meeting innovative product designs as well as test and quality requirements.
* Ensure new product projects are conducted in compliance with the company quality system and related procedures.
* Lead project team, develop and maintain project documentation, ensure all project documents are completed and centralized controlled.
* Provide regular reports to the senior management and key project stakeholders and distribute project related data and documentation as appropriate including: project status reports, milestone required and process required docs, etc.
* Provide leadership and motivation to project team members throughout the project life cycle.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
* Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Computer, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering, Electronic Information Engineering.
* Minimum 8 years new product development management experience. Must be familiar with new product development process, proven bottom line of complex project management experience (Quality, Product & Project Cost & Delivery).
* Good communication and presentation skill, with good spoken and written English, and influence skill to work with cross function, cross country team.
* Excellent project management skills, and solid understanding of project management methodologies, tools and techniques, expert of office software and project management tools.
* Design or development experience along with operations experience required.
* Strong sense of ownership and responsibility, strong execution force to ensure task on-time delivery and meet requirements.
* Must be a self-starter with innovation, integrity and attention to details.
* Experience in using process driven and analytical approaches to problem-solving (Six Sigma, 8D, FMEA, etc.).
* Ability to lead/drive, motivate people and encourage teamwork from gentle or stiff way.
* A proven fast learner, self-motivated, willing to take challenges.
* Ability to manage multi-projects in parallel and deliver on multiple deadlines and commitments.
* The ability to foster strong working relationships between project teams, user communities, management and vendors. Excellent organizational and leadership skills with a commitment to meet deadlines and expectations while ensuring overall quality of delivery.
Desired:
* Experience of industrial instruments is preferred.
* Experience working with international OEM partners will be a plus.
* Direct experience managing functional engineering teams (ME, EE, TE, DFX, Etc.) will be a strong plus.
* Preferred ability to utilize DOE’s, FMEA and other industry standard tools to proactively identify and address risks and optimize process and design.
