This role combines CST case management, social work evaluation, IEP development and implementation, and individual and/or group counseling. - Conduct social assessments and social histories for special education evaluations and reevaluations.
- Serve as case manager for assigned scholars and develop compliant IEPs.
- Monitor IEP services, progress, placements, and compliance timelines.
- Provide individual and/or group counseling services to assigned scholars.
- Build strong partnerships with scholars, families, educators, and service providers.
- Support eligibility decisions and multidisciplinary CST meetings.
- Maintain accurate documentation and student records in Frontline.
- Identify and escalate compliance, service, placement, and safety concerns.
- Connect families with appropriate school and community resources.
- Use scholar data to monitor progress and strengthen services.
- Master’s degree in Social Work.
- Valid New Jersey School Social Worker certificate or documented eligibility.
- New Jersey social work license preferred.
- Experience with school-based CST, special education, clinical, or child and family services strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of IDEA, New Jersey special education regulations, IEPs, LRE, FERPA, and procedural safeguards.
- Strong assessment, documentation, communication, and case management skills.
- Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 20–25 scholars.
- Proficiency with Frontline and other special education recordkeeping systems.
