Funeral Home Maintenance Specialist

• →Perform routine and preventive maintenance on all facility systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.).
• →Ensure cleanliness and tidiness of the funeral home, including public areas, offices, and service rooms.
• →Oversee the setup and breakdown of rooms for memorial services, viewings, and other events.
• →Ensure that all equipment and furnishings are in good working order, replacing or repairing as necessary.
• →Coordinate with outside vendors for specialized repairs or services.
• →Monitor facility safety, including fire and emergency systems, and perform regular checks.
• →Assist with setting up equipment for funeral services, including audiovisual and display systems.
• →Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, tools, and other essential facility items.
• →Handle facility-related customer inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
• →Perform snow removal duties during winter months, including salting walkways, driveways, and parking areas.
• →Maintain the funeral home’s lawn and outdoor areas, including mowing, trimming, and landscaping.
• →Ensure that outdoor spaces are clean, inviting, and well-kept year-round.
• →Comply with all health, safety, and regulatory requirements.

• Proven experience in facilities management, building maintenance, or a similar role.
• Strong technical knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing).
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems efficiently.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and emergency response procedures.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer service-oriented attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive situations with compassion and respect.
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Physical ability to perform outdoor tasks such as snow removal, lawn care, and landscaping.
