The Assistant Director of Engineering reports to the Director of Engineering and is responsible for project management and property maintenance. This role supports the Director in managing a team of Engineering and Maintenance specialists responsible for all engineering operations to ensure the safety and comfort of guests and employees.

1. The ability to manage the hiring, training, supervising, scheduling, disciplining and planning of activities of engineering department personnel and participate in the employee performance reviews process.

2. The ability to develop long term and short term projects and prioritize accordingly.

3. The ability to vet vendors and pricing for supplies and equipment.

4. The ability to manage contractors on property and ensure results and proper conduct.

5. The ability to manage effective preventive maintenance schedules.

6. The ability plan and implement procedures, systems and controls to ensure an efficient maintenance department.

7. The ability to handle the purchasing of equipment replacement parts and repairs.  This includes contacting vendors for best prices, writing purchase orders, receiving goods and completing projects.

Successful candidate will be hired as a full-time employee. Successful candidate must be flexible as may be required to work early mornings, days, evenings, holidays, and/or weekends.
