As a Receiving Clerk, you will be responsible for receiving, inspecting, and processing deliveries to ensure all goods meet quality and quantity standards. You will play a key role in supporting hotel operations by maintaining accurate records, ensuring proper inventory control, and coordinating with various departments and suppliers to facilitate the efficient flow of goods.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Receive and inspect incoming deliveries against purchase orders and delivery notes.
- →Verify the quality, quantity, and condition of goods received.
- →Record and process all received items accurately in the inventory management system.
- →Coordinate with Procurement, Stores, Finance, and operational departments regarding deliveries and discrepancies.
- →Report damaged, missing, or incorrect items and follow up on resolutions.
- →Ensure proper storage and handling of received goods in accordance with company standards.
- →Maintain accurate receiving documentation and records.
- →Assist with inventory counts and stock control activities as required.
- →Follow all health, safety, and security procedures.
- Previous experience in receiving, stores, inventory control, or a similar role, preferably within hospitality.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping.
- Basic knowledge of inventory management and receiving procedures.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory systems.
- Ability to lift and handle goods safely when required.
- Fluency in English is required; Arabic language skills are a must.
