POSITION SUMMARY
The Regional Director, Canada is responsible for leading and growing FS-ISAC’s presence, membership engagement, and strategic relationships across the Canadian financial services sector. This role serves as the primary regional leader for Canada and is responsible for driving membership growth, retention, member value, stakeholder engagement, and market strategy execution aligned with FS-ISAC’s global mission and regional priorities.
This position requires a strategic, relationship-oriented leader with strong knowledge of the Canadian financial services and cybersecurity landscape, executive presence, and the ability to operate effectively within a highly matrixed global organization.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Regional Leadership and Market Strategy
• Lead and execute FS-ISAC’s multi-year strategic plans for Canada in alignment with the overall global business objectives.
• Identify opportunities to expand market presence, strengthen member engagement, and enhance strategic partnerships across the region.
• Serve as the senior regional representative for FS-ISAC in Canada with members, partners, and other key stakeholders.
• Provide market intelligence and regional insights to support organizational planning and decision-making.
• Represent FS-ISAC at industry conferences, member meetings, executive forums, and sector events.
• Ensure a consistent and powerful brand presence across Canada.
Membership Growth and Retention
• Drive membership acquisition, retention, and engagement across Canadian financial institutions and related sectors. Partner with business development to lead, develop, and finalize new membership and partnership agreements.
• Lead membership retention efforts and increase membership financial and non-financial contributions to FS-ISAC, including facilitating region-specific member community groups as needed.
• Develop and maintain executive-level relationships with member organizations, prospective members, and other key stakeholders.
Stakeholder and Industry Engagement
• Build trusted relationships with regulators, government agencies, law enforcement, and industry associations within Canada.
• Foster strategic collaboration between FS-ISAC and key external stakeholders to advance cyber resilience and information sharing.
• Act as a credible thought leader and advocate for FS-ISAC’s mission with the Canadian financial services ecosystem.
• Facilitate collaboration among members to support sector-wide preparedness and response initiatives.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Collaborate with global and regional teams to ensure alignment and execution of organizational initiatives, engaging in proactive communication.
• Support regional events, exercise, committees, and working groups. Facilitate content submission, development, and finalize content alongside the Market Lead.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure member feedback and regional priorities are incorporated into organizational planning.
• Contribute to strategic initiatives and special projects across the Americas region.
Operational and Performance Management
• Monitor regional performance metrics, membership trends, and engagement outcomes.
• Develop and execute regional business plans and reporting aligned with organizational goals.
• Manage budget responsibilities and regional resource planning as applicable. Ensure regional financial performance, revenue targets, and profitability goals are achieved or exceeded.
• Ensure consistent communication, operational excellence, and alignment with FS-ISAC’s standards and policies.
• Ensure FS-ISAC contributes actively to the operational resilience of both the members and the sector in Canada through delivery of appropriate business resilience activities and exercises.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Required Experience
• 10+ years of experience in financial services, cybersecurity, membership organizations, or associations, or related sectors.
• Strategic and operational leadership experience with 5+ years of building, leading and managing teams.
• Strong knowledge of the Canadian financial services industry and cybersecurity landscape.
• Demonstrated success in relationship management, business development, membership growth, or strategic partnerships.
• Previous experience engaging with senior executives, regulators, and industry stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and executive engagement skills.
Preferred Experience
• Experience within financial sector, cybersecurity, threat intelligence, or operational resilience environments.
• Existing relationships with Canadian financial institutions, regulators, or industry organizations.
• Familiarity with information-sharing communities or consortium models
• Experience working within global or international organizations.
• Bilingual proficiency in English/French capabilities
Education
Bachelor’s degree in business or related fields required; MBA preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position is a remote position based in Toronto, Canada. Travel within Canada and periodically across the Americas region as needed to include attendance at industry events, member meetings, conferences and summits (approximately 15% travel).
