General Laborer - 1st Shift

1st Shift: Mondays thru Fridays from 7:00AM to 3:30PM

Rate: $20.75 

External Candidate -$1,500.00 sign-on bonus

Perform a variety of general duties of a basic, repetitive, and/or manual nature that are relevant to the work area(s) being supported.

• →Assist operators as necessary
• →Load and/or unload materials, ingredients, parts, products, cases, crates, and pallets
• →Move, stack, or place items on conveyor manually or by mechanized means
• →Deliver production or area specific items to designated work areas for processing
• →Pack products in crates or boxes by hand
• →Sort, bundle, and fill containers or place in assembled units
• →Mark or put identifying labels on product loads
• →Construct or de-construct shipping boxes
• →Maintain general housekeeping of the assigned area
• →Complete all required paperwork accurately and legibly
• →Report quality and operational issues or irregularities to supervisor as they occur
• →Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues
• →Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Warehouse, production, or general work experience preferred

Certification and/or License – may be required during course of employment

Able to follow directions and carry out instructions

Able to effectively work in a team environment

Able to legibly write entries for record keeping

Able to work in a fast-paced environment

Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals

Must be able to read, write and speak English
