Job Description:

The mechanic will be responsible for maintaining the serviceability of contingency fleet vehicles and armored vehicles pending shipment to posts worldwide. Additionally, the Automotive Mechanic will perform inspections on selected vehicles and provide reports to the team for necessary action. The personnel in this position will report to SA-7D and support the Armored Vehicle Branch. The knowledge, experience, and efforts of the armored vehicle maintenance mechanics are paramount in providing state of the art armored vehicles that are needed to enable the department to conduct diplomacy in hostile environments.  The incumbent develops technical solutions to problems that arise, referring only those of a serious or unusual nature to the Program Manager.
