Job Description:

Responsibilities

→
Conduct on‑site surveys documenting power, cooling, bonding/grounding, pathways, and room readiness
→
Develop layout designs including rack plans, cable management, grounding/bonding, electrical circuits, and equipment placement
→
Manage GDIT, Agency, and Subcontractor labor performing room buildouts, rack installation, cable routing, and grounding
→
Ensure compliance with UFC, TIA/EIA, I3A, and DoW telecommunications room standards
→
Coordinate with base civil engineering for facility upgrades or modifications
→
Support QA inspections and validation of deliverables and as‑builts
→
Work closely with Network, Fiber Optic, ISP, and OSP teams for integration of infrastructure
→
Participate in design reviews and customer briefings as a SME

BA/BS or equivalent, 5+ years of experience
4–7 years’ experience with telecommunications rooms, data center buildouts, or ISP infrastructure
Experience managing cabling, rack installation, or structured cabling teams
Knowledge of grounding/bonding, power specs, equipment standards, and room environmental requirements
Experience with AFCENT, AFNET, or equivalent DoW telecomm environments (preferred)
Ability to obtain Interim Secret Security Clearance
Hiring/Working location will be on site supporting the daily implementation efforts at Eielson Air Force Base, Fairbanks Alaska.

Nice to Have
