- Manage and support daily Microsoft Windows system administration activities across DON AWS infrastructures
- Assess systems and applications according to DoD Secure Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and Security Requirements Guides (SRGs).
- Generate, analyze, and interpret ACAS scan results to identify vulnerabilities, support remediation, and monitor mitigation efforts.
- Perform continuous monitoring of security and privacy controls in compliance with DoDI 8510.01 (RMF) to support sustainment of HRCP system ATO.
- Install, configure, and conduct advanced troubleshooting for Microsoft Windows Operating Systems.
- Install, configure, and perform advanced troubleshooting for IIS, Tomcat, and Apache web server technologies.
- Assess and resolve network-related issues including vLAN tagging, sub-netting, routing, link aggregation, LACP, and other virtual network technologies.
- Maintain Active Directory; create and manage system and application user accounts in accordance with policy.
- Document and submit DNS server updates within Navy and DISA domains.
- Diagnose and resolve connectivity, communication, and technical issues affecting portfolio systems and applications.
- Analyze and resolve operating system, hardware, and application-related issues; perform system failure analysis and system recovery while ensuring file system integrity.
- Complete assigned service tickets in support of portfolio operations.
- Monitor database log files for errors and performance issues; identify tuning alternatives for efficient CPU utilization.
- Monitor database disk space allocation and utilization.
- Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or related field; OR Ten (10) years of demonstrated experience.
- Experience as a Windows System Administrator.
- Experience applying DISA STIGs and IAVAs.
- Experience supporting Active Directory.
- Experience with security compliance tools such as ACAS.
- Required Skills and Abilities
- Strong troubleshooting capabilities across Windows systems, networking, and enterprise applications.
- Strong interpersonal (verbal, written, listening and non-verbal communication) skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, service tickets, and operational deadlines.
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with technical and business stakeholders.
- Preferred Skills:
- Experience working with IIS, Apache, and Tomcat.
- Experience supporting cloud environments (AWS preferred)
Hands on experience working with virtual environments
- Required Certifications:
- Network+, Security+, or higher meeting DoD CIO Information Assurance (IA) certification requirements.
- Preferred Skills:
