Our work depends on a VMware Engineer joining our team to support Government activities in Sterling, VA or Annapolis Junction, MD.

At GDIT, we foster a people-focused and customer-centric environment in delivering Desktop Engineering Services.  As a VMware Engineer supporting the Government, you will be responsible for physical/virtual platforms, server build deployments, server virtualization, hyperconverged platforms, etc.

Responsibilities

→Active TS/SCI clearance with poly
→Must meet DoD 8570 IAT Level II requirements including one of the following: Security+ CE, CND, SSCP, GSEC, GICSP, CySA+, or CCNA Security
→Bachelor’s Degree in a related technical discipline + 6 years’ experience or the equivalent combination of education, technical certification or training, or work/military experience
→Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, or KVM
→Proficiency in configuring and optimizing virtual machines, storage, and networking
→Knowledge with configuration of virtual switches and VLANs
→VMware Certified Professional certification required
→Ability to learn new virtualization technologies

The likely salary range for this position is $153,000 - $207,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
