  • Drive vehicle experience and screen strategy (layouts, interaction models, personalization, multimodal HMI) in close partnership with GM Design, ensuring China‑specific needs are prioritized.
  • Own the intelligent cockpit roadmap (HMI, UX/UI, in-vehicle apps, voice, personalization, device continuity, and ecosystem integration).
  • Lead L2+/L3 ADAS experience definition and feature mix, ensuring China‑market competitiveness in both hardware/content and software feature cadence.
  • Translate technology enablers (e.g., UWB, external mic arrays, in‑cabin sensing, cloud intelligence) into clear customer‑facing use cases and business cases.
  • Balance SoC and sensor content, cost, and vehicle line penetration to meet both financial and brand/segment objectives.
  • Provide executive oversight for software engineering architecture, development, validation, release, and sustainment across infotainment, ADAS, connectivity, and digital services.
  • Champion modern development practices (e.g., domain‑based architectures, reusable platforms, continuous integration/deployment, OTA readiness) tailored to China’s speed and regulatory environment.
  • Coordinate AI and data initiatives across GM global and China (e.g., software product teams, SGM IT, OnStar/connected services) to embed AI/ML into features, operations, and decision‑making.
  • Ensure software platforms and services are designed for OTA evolution, enabling rapid post‑SOP feature upgrades and new revenue streams.
  • Own Shanghai OnStar strategy, operations, and full P&L responsibility, including subscription growth, service mix, partner ecosystem, and customer experience.
  • Oversee export connectivity and intelligence planning and execution for China‑developed vehicles serving other markets.
  • Provide direction and prioritization for GM China IT, enterprise applications, and digital tools that are critical enablers of vehicle software, customer operations, and JV performance.
  • Align back‑office application planning and execution (e.g., dealer, customer, analytics platforms) to support the software & digital business model and OnStar operations.
  • Represent software, digital, and vehicle intelligence topics at the highest levels of SAIC‑GM governance, including EXCOM and key JV forums.
  • Serve as primary China voice into global GM for intelligent cockpit, ADAS, connectivity, OnStar, and AI‑enabled experience topics, ensuring China‑first requirements influence global strategy, architectures, and investment decisions.
  • Lead cross‑functional alignment (engineering, design, marketing, finance, manufacturing, IT) to resolve trade‑offs on timing, content, cost, and complexity for software‑driven features.
  • Build and develop a high‑performing, multi‑disciplinary organization across product management, UX/UI, software engineering, data/AI, and operations in China.
  • Establish and continuously improve operating mechanisms (rhythms, KPIs, decision forums) for weekly, monthly, and quarterly execution on vehicle programs and software/digital roadmaps.
  • Champion a customer‑obsessed, data‑driven culture that balances innovation speed with safety, quality, and compliance.
  • Enterprise strategy and long‑term business direction, with a focus on software‑defined vehicles and digital business models in China.
  • Vehicle portfolio planning and future product selection, ensuring intelligent cockpit, ADAS, connectivity, and digital services are core differentiators for each nameplate and brand.
  • Enterprise investment prioritization and capital allocation for SoCs, sensors, connectivity, AI/data platforms, and software capabilities.
  • Vehicle experience, HMI, and screen strategy in partnership with global and China design organizations.
  • Vehicle intelligence hardware and software penetration in partnership with engineering, marketing, and finance to meet brand, profitability, and customer experience targets.
