GeoSpectrum is growing and has a new career opportunity for an experienced Program Compliance Specialist!

Reporting to the Director of Procurement and Quality, the Program Compliance Specialist plays a key role in supporting successful customer delivery by working closely with project and technical managers to identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to schedule and quality. In this role, they may also serve as a customer interface during factory and sea acceptance testing, on an as‑needed basis, which can include some international travel.

This position is well suited to someone with strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, effective project management and interpersonal skills, and a professional approach to configuration control and technical writing. A central aspect of the role involves analyzing and interpreting technical specifications and contractual requirements to support program success.

Responsibilities

  • Translate contractual quality requirements into actionable outputs (including flow down requirements to subcontractors).
  • Develop and execute monitoring plans to ensure program/project compliance (e.g. Program/Project Quality Assurance Plan, Inspection and Test Plan (ITP)).
  • Work closely with Program/Project Managers to ensure planned quality gates and inspections are successfully executed and tracked.
  • Maintain awareness of the program/project safety requirements, including the system safety program plan.
  • Attend design review meetings and guide team members on program/project best practices.
  • Work closely with the Systems Engineer to ensure acceptance plans are properly planned and executed.
  • Work directly with program/project teams to review documentation and systems according to customer specifications.
  • Act as the customer’s quality interface and test witness.
  • Provide system level signoff at Factory Acceptance Tests and Sea Acceptance Tests.
  • Provide feedback to Program/Project Managers on risks and opportunities for improvement.

 

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education
  • 5+ years experience in a quality assurance role at the program/project level.
  • Demonstrated career experience monitoring program/project compliance.
  • Demonstrated career experience developing and executing Quality Assurance Plans and Inspection & Test Plans throughout a program/project.
  • Demonstrated successful project management experience, working with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong technical writing ability.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 standard is desirable.
  • Knowledge of AS 9100 standard and/or aerospace manufacturing is an asset.
  • Experience conducting supplier audits is an asset.
  • Must hold a valid Canadian passport for international travel.

 

Security Requirements
