The German American Chamber of Commerce, Inc. (GACCNY) was founded in 1947 and supports the business needs of international companies through membership, events, business consulting, career development, and training services. As a U.S. office within the global network of German Chambers of Industry and Commerce, GACCNY delivers cooperative business and workforce solutions across industries.

GACCNY is a U.S. Department of Labor Registered Apprenticeship sponsor operating programs across multiple states. Our approach draws on the German dual-education model and adapts its strengths to U.S. employers, education partners, and workforce systems through structured on-the-job learning, mentorship training, related instruction, and competency-based assessment.

GACCNY is seeking a part-time, locally based coordinator to support Apprenticeship services and consortium activities throughout the Lehigh Valley and surrounding region. Working in coordination with GACCNY and Industrial Training and Education Consortium (iTEC) program leadership, this position will provide local administrative, logistical, and relationship support for participating employers, apprentices, education partners, workforce organizations, and other stakeholders. The role focuses on coordinating employer and apprentice communications, meetings, assessments, events, records, outreach, and follow-up activities. Success requires strong organization, responsiveness, an in-person presence in the region, and the ability to manage assigned priorities independently within a part-time schedule.
