As a Lead Mechanical Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the design, analysis, and optimization of components across our gas power portfolio. You will collaborate with cross-functional, global teams to deliver high-quality solutions, drive product upgrades, and ensure our designs meet rigorous performance and safety standards. This role requires a balance of technical ownership, innovative problem-solving, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

→Design & Analysis: Execute mechanical design and analysis (stress, modal, lifing) for Airfoil components in gas turbines, steam, generators, and accessory systems.
→Technical Stewardship: Take ownership of mechanical hardware; perform validation testing; and evaluate designs for factors like thermal growth, manufacturing variation, and assembly stack-up to ensure optimal product behavior.
→Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering experts, manufacturing, and sourcing teams to optimize sub-systems and components.
→Continuous Improvement: Lead root cause analyses (RCA) to improve reliability, quality, and yield. Apply Lean principles to streamline processes and drive innovation.
→Project Delivery: Manage milestones through formal/informal technical reviews, ensuring compliance with NPI processes and design practices.
→Mentorship: Foster a collaborative environment by coaching team members and building strong relationships with key stakeholders, including Principal and Chief Engineers.

Requirements

Master’s or bachelor’s in engineering with specialization in Mechanical, Design and Applied Mechanics
Minimum of 4 years of Engineering experience.

Additional 1-2 years of relevant engineering experience
Technical proficiency in engineering software (ANSYS, NX) and programming languages (Python, Excel VBA) for data analysis.
A "Lean" mindset, familiarity with AI-driven tools, and a passion for innovative design.
Demonstrated ability to thrive in a collaborative, inclusive, and fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills, with a transparent approach to project management and problem-solving.
