Working within a Lean manufacturing environment, you will play a key role in delivering production requirements while supporting continuous improvement, flexible working practices and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Assembling and testing Dissolved Gas Analysis (DGA) instruments and subassemblies.
- →Using specialist test equipment and computer software to monitor, diagnose and repair equipment under test.
- →Assembling, installing and testing communications modules within DGA instruments.
- →Carrying out fault diagnosis, testing and repair to ensure equipment meets required specifications and quality standards.
- →Performing calibration testing of reference and test equipment.
- →Working from engineering drawings, procedures, specifications and associated documentation.
- →Training colleagues on assembly and test processes, supporting knowledge sharing and team development.
- →Coordinating with the assembly, test and shipping teams to sequence and prioritise daily customer requirements.
- →Supporting the planning and scheduling of production build sequences to meet customer and business requirements.
- →Liaising with key stakeholders including Team Leaders, Engineering and other internal departments within the factory.
- →Working collaboratively across different areas of the operation to support flexible working practices.
- →Contributing to production, quality and operational targets.
- →Supporting Lean manufacturing principles, including single-piece flow, 5S and standard work.
- →Participating in continuous improvement activities and Kaizen events, identifying opportunities to improve processes, quality and efficiency.
- →Working safely and in accordance with all relevant Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) procedures and company requirements.
Requirements
~1 min read- Minimum HNC or equivalent qualification in Electrical, Electronic or Telecommunication Engineering, or relevant experience in the testing, analysis and repair of DGA equipment.
- Proven ability to use test equipment and computer software to monitor, diagnose and repair equipment.
- Strong fault-finding, testing and repair skills, ideally within electrical/electronic equipment.
- Ability to read, understand and work from engineering drawings.
- Experience performing calibration testing of reference and test equipment.
- Practical experience with cabling and wiring assembly, board soldering and crimping techniques.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to demonstrate initiative and creative thinking.
- Computer literate, with a sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and key stakeholders.
- Ability to work flexibly across different areas of the operation as business demand requires.
- Willingness to cross-train and develop additional technical skills to support flexible work practices.
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles, including single-piece flow, 5S and standard work.
- Experience participating in and contributing to continuous improvement activities and Kaizen events.

Shift Pattern:
- Monday to Thursday: 6:45am to 3:30pm and Friday: 6:45am to 12:30pm
The Technician plays a critical role in delivering high-quality DGA instruments that meet customer requirements for performance, reliability and quality.
By combining technical expertise, problem-solving capability and Lean manufacturing practices, you will directly contribute to production performance, product quality and on-time customer delivery.
You will also can develop your technical knowledge, train and support colleagues, and contribute to improvements that make a real difference to the manufacturing operation.
