Who are we looking for?
We're looking for a Graduate Environmental Planner to join our team! In this role, you will support environmental planning, permitting, impact assessment, regulatory compliance, and project delivery for environmental and infrastructure projects. You will work alongside multidisciplinary teams while building practical consulting skills through mentoring, structured learning, and varied project experience.

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
- Supporting environmental planning and environmental impact assessment projects through research, data collection, analysis, and reporting
- Assisting with environmental permitting and regulatory compliance activities, including materials needed for permits, approvals, and agency consents
- Researching land use planning, environmental regulations, public policy, and project development requirements
- Collecting, organizing, interpreting, and analyzing environmental, planning, and regulatory information to support project recommendations
- Preparing technical reports, permit applications, environmental documentation, meeting materials, and client deliverables
- Supporting project coordination, scheduling, document control, and other project management activities
- Assisting with proposals, bids, and tender responses by gathering and organizing required information
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and communicating with internal and external stakeholders
- Following applicable health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures
- Participating in technical training, professional development, and communities of practice
What you will bring to the team:
- Bachelor's degree in environmental planning, environmental science, geography, urban or regional planning, natural resources, sustainability, public policy, environmental studies, or a related field
- Strong interest in environmental planning, permitting, regulatory compliance, and impact assessment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong research, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to organize and interpret information from multiple sources and draw meaningful conclusions
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to manage multiple assignments, prioritize tasks, and meet commitments
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, accountability, and professionalism
- Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Internship, co-op, research, or academic project experience in environmental planning, permitting, environmental studies, or regulatory compliance preferred
- Familiarity with environmental assessment, GIS, data analysis tools, environmental research methods, or government approval processes is a plus
