~1 min read- Lead the design, technical delivery and verification of mechanical building services solutions across a variety of complex projects.
- Manage and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams to deliver high-quality outcomes for clients.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, identifying opportunities for repeat and new business.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance throughout project lifecycles, from concept design through to construction and commissioning.
- Collaborate with other Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulic, Fire, Structural, Civil and specialist engineering disciplines.
- Support project planning, resourcing, risk management, quality assurance and commercial performance.
- Mentor and develop junior and intermediate engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
- Contribute to business development activities, proposals and strategic client engagement.
- Ensure compliance with relevant New Zealand standards, codes and regulatory requirements.
- Promote sustainable and innovative engineering solutions that deliver long-term value for clients and communities.
- Participate in construction monitoring, stakeholder engagement and technical reviews as required.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status, or ability to obtain CPEng in New Zealand.
- Minimum of 10+ years' experience in mechanical building services engineering within a consulting environment.
- Proven experience leading the design and delivery of complex building services projects.
- Strong technical expertise in HVAC, mechanical services systems and integrated building services design.
- Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary teams and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of New Zealand building regulations, standards and compliance requirements.
- Excellent client relationship management and business development skills.
- Outstanding communication, leadership and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
- Passion for mentoring and developing high-performing teams.
- A collaborative mindset, strong commercial awareness and commitment to delivering exceptional client outcomes.
