Our team is enjoying a period of growth and as a result, we’re seeking a Track & Civil Engineer with sound OpenRail Designer experience to join our Design & Delivery Organisation’s Victorian & Tasmanian Rail team.
Reporting to the Team Leader, you'll play a key role in delivering a diverse range of rail projects and will be involved in:
- Delivering track and civil design solutions across a variety of rail infrastructure projects, from concept development through to detailed design and construction support.
- Developing rail alignments, yard layouts, turnout arrangements, drainage, earthworks and corridor infrastructure using Bentley OpenRail Designer.
- Preparing design models, calculations, technical reports and design documentation.
- Maintaining and strengthening GHD's critical OpenRail Designer capability required for rail design, model production and project delivery continuity.
- Contributing to OpenRail digital engineering workflows, standards and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams including structures, geotechnical, drainage, signalling, communications and systems specialists.
- Supporting and mentoring graduate and early career engineers as part of a collaborative and high-performing team.
What would you bring to the team?
- Bachelor of Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in rail track and civil engineering and design.
- Demonstrated experience using Bentley OpenRail Designer on rail infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of rail track geometry, corridor infrastructure, drainage, formation design and civil interfaces.
- Experience working within multidisciplinary project environments.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to project delivery.
- Victorian or Australian rail project experience and progress towards CPEng, RPEV or similar professional registration will be highly regarded.
