We’re looking for a skilled Surface Water Engineer with a strong working knowledge of GoldSim and a passion for water resources to join our NSW/ACT team in Sydney, Canberra, Newcastle, Wollongong or any of our regional NSW offices.
You will collaborate with specialists across water, dams, tailings, mining, environmental and digital disciplines and make an impact on complex Mine Water Management and Water Balance Modelling projects across Australia.

- Developing and applying GoldSim water balance models for mine water management studies, operational assessments and strategic water planning.
- Working closely with multidisciplinary teams across mining, dams, tailings, hydrology and environmental services, analysing complex water systems and evaluating risks
- Delivering on multidisciplinary projects and tasks, maintaining strong client relationships, coordinating with stakeholders to deliver project outcomes
- Contributing to proposals, business development activities and the continued growth of GHD's surface water capability.
- Conducting technical reviews and mentoring junior staff, providing guidance and feedback to help them develop their skills
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Degree qualifications in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Water Resources Engineering or a related discipline.
- →Between 5 &12 years of experience in a similar role in a consulting environment.
- →Experience in surface water engineering, mine water management or water resources consulting.
- →Strong working knowledge of GoldSim, including development and application of water balance models.
- →Understanding of mine water management practices, regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- →Strong client relationship skills and project management skills in water resources projects
