About the Opportunity

Our client, a well-established real estate company in Atlanta is seeking a Controller to lead its accounting function.

Execute month-end close procedures, including comprehensive review of the trial balance, income statement, general ledger, budget variances, accounts payable, and accounts receivable

Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement preparation

Prepare quarterly consolidation reports

Review monthly bank reconciliations and complete monthly cash reporting

Maintain and update the operating cash ledger

Post various journal entries, including interest allocations

Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections

Provide financial analysis and reporting to senior leadership

Maintain strong internal controls and accounting procedures

Analyze development reports and ensure cost projections remain current

Maintain depreciation and amortization schedules

Identify and analyze budget variances across operating properties in collaboration with accounting and property management teams

Supervise and mentor accounting staff

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

10+ years of accounting experience in the real estate space
