Senior Accountant

We are currently seeking a Senior Accountant to join our client service team in our accounting services department.  As a Senior Accountant, you will immediately begin building and managing relationships with clients.  You will have direct contact with clients on a regular basis. Same-day travel for work at the client's office, meetings, or seminars is required at times.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
• 5+ years of relevant accounting/bookkeeping experience required, preferably in public accounting or a Client Accounting Services (CAS) environment
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles
• Experience managing multiple client engagements simultaneously preferred
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online required; QuickBooks Desktop experience preferred
• General tax knowledge related to small business sales tax, payroll tax, and income tax preferred
• Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online required
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel required
• Experience with accounting software and automation platforms such as Bill.com, Saasant, Ramp, and similar tools preferred
• Strong leadership, customer service, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
• Ability to interact effectively with all levels inside and outside the organization
• Proven ability to take initiative, anticipate challenges, develop solutions, exercise sound judgment, prioritize tasks, multitask, and work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Relevant accounting/bookkeeping experience required. Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
• Experience managing multiple client engagements simultaneously preferred
• Relevant work experience such as 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a public accounting or CAS environment
• Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel
• Experience with accounting software platforms such as Bill.com, Saasant, Ramp, etc. preferred.
• Robust skillset as it relates to: Leadership, customer service, verbal and written communication, organization, etc.
• Ability to: interact with all levels inside and outside the organization, take initiative, anticipate problems, and formulate resolutions, exercise good judgment/decision making, prioritize and multitask, work independently, etc.

This role is based out of our Sacramento office.  A hybrid work schedule is offered after the training period, with three days in the office and potentially two days remote; however, this is dependent upon client service needs.
