About the Role

Glean is seeking a talented Solutions Architect (SA) to join our rapidly expanding, venture-backed startup. Glean is the Work AI platform — powering intelligent search, AI assistants, and scalable AI agents for the world's largest enterprises. Join our hard-working team and elevate your career. This is not a traditional SA role where you build slide decks. You will write code, build working prototypes, and ship real integrations alongside the customers who use them. If you love toggling between building something technical and advising a customer on how to deploy it, this role is for you.

You will be the primary technical advisor to our customers post-sale, focusing on our Enterprise and Strategic segment, where the architecture and integration demands are high. You will guide customers through their architecture, design, and implementation of Glean within their enterprise environment — and you will build alongside them, not just advise.

  • Establish and maintain your role as the customer's primary technical advisor. Think of yourself as the CTO of the customer relationship.
  • Build working prototypes, tools, and integrations using Glean APIs (Indexing, Search, Chat), RAG workflows, MCP tools, and agent frameworks — directly with and for customers.
  • Onboard new data sources and implement custom integrations of Glean into customer work environments and business application architectures.
  •  Identify and drive expansion opportunities — including AI assistants, agents, and API-driven applications — within each customer's architecture.
  • Provide training and guidance to customer technical resources to enable them to manage, support, and extend Glean in their environment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues for your assigned customers, from log analysis to end-to-end transaction tracing.
  • Work with Product Management and Engineering to drive product improvements based on patterns you observe across customer engagements.

Interpersonal skills:

  • Communication: professional presentation and interaction skills with both customers and internal teams. Able to explain complex AI and integration concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Project planning: plan and execute the implementation of customer projects.
  •  Self-motivated: a proactive approach to delivering service to customers.
  •  Detail-oriented: highly organized and methodical, ensuring all issues are managed to completion.
  • Data-driven: utilize metrics and objective measurements to assess success and improvement opportunities for customers.
  •  Pre or Post-sales Solution Architect experience in a product-led company is a huge plus.

Technical skills:

  • Software development experience in at least two of the following: Python, Java, Go. You write code regularly — not just in the past.
  • Hands-on experience building AI-powered applications: RAG pipelines, chatbots, AI assistants, or agentic workflows using LLMs.
  • API and custom data integration experience in a Hybrid or SaaS environment. Experience with Indexing, Search, or Chat APIs is a plus.
  • Familiarity with AI developer tooling such as LangChain, vector databases, or Model Context Protocol (MCP).
  • Technical debugging: log analysis, code analysis, end-to-end transaction tracing.
  • Networking expertise: a deep understanding of networking, including cloud and on-premise networking.
  • Experience in at least two of the following disciplines: Software Engineering, Pre-Sales Engineering, Post-Sales Engineering, Professional Services, Developer Relations, Forward Deployed Engineering, or Technical Customer Delivery.
  • Hands-on experience with Cloud technologies in at least one of the following: Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Amazon Web Services (AWS), or Microsoft Azure.
  • Security and audit experience: able to fully understand the technical and audit framework of the product and represent it with customer security and audit stakeholders.

AI fluency:

  • You use AI tools (such as Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar) as part of how you work — not just what you build.
  • You can demonstrate something you have personally built using AI, explain how it works, debug it live, and defend your technical choices.
  • You are comfortable building and demoing working prototypes under time constraints.
  • This role is hybrid (4 days a week in our Bangalore office)
