Open Area License Services Team Lead (HYBRID)

• Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advance Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience
• Experience administering Windows Server and RHEL environments.
• Demonstrated leadership experience overseeing technical operations or service‑delivery teams.
• Experience managing engineering license servers or enterprise licensing systems and applying scripting/automation skills (PowerShell, Bash, Python) to support operational efficiency or analytics.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access certain necessary systems or sites

• Experience supporting enterprise engineering software ecosystems or large‑scale licensing environments.
• Experience automating licensing workflows or integrating licensing systems with cloud platforms.

• Experience applying Agile or Scrum practices, including work management in Jira, Confluence, or Jira Align.
• Experience conducting usage forecasting, capacity planning, or financial analysis.
• Familiarity with dongle‑based licensing hardware (e.g., AnywhereUSB) or regulated engineering environments.

The Open Area License Services Team Lead oversees administration, optimization, and lifecycle management of engineering software licenses across Windows, Linux, and specialized ecosystems. This role serves as the primary interface for engineering tool owners and partner organizations, ensuring reliable service delivery, compliance alignment, and continuous modernization of licensing platforms

• →Lead license server operations, entitlement workflows, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management, ensuring stable availability of engineering tools.
• →Coordinate with engineering tool owners, cybersecurity, and infrastructure teams to define requirements, resolve issues, and support roadmap planning.
• →Optimize Windows Server and RHEL‑based licensing environments through configuration management, monitoring, and root‑cause analysis.
• →Oversee onboarding, usage analytics, forecasting, compliance validation, audit readiness, and end‑to‑end governance of licensing processes.
• →Drive modernization initiatives including automation, reporting improvements, technology updates, and structured documentation standards.
• →Build and maintain operational dashboards using tools such as Power BI, Python, or PowerApps to improve visibility and decision‑making.
• →Maintain workflow, documentation, and change‑tracking standards using platforms such as Jira, Confluence, and SharePoint.
• →Support transition and migration initiatives, license‑related audits, and domain‑aligned compliance efforts across engineering organizations.
• →Manage hardware used for dongle‑based licensing and lead decommissioning efforts for legacy systems.
• →Provide direction, workload management, and support for team collaboration and continuous improvement.
