Requirements
~1 min read- Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience
- Proven experience in industrial electrical systems, HVAC maintenance, and fire protection systems
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various industrial settings, including confined spaces and heights
- Availability to work in shifts, weekends, or on-call as needed
- Relevant certifications such as EPA 608 (HVAC), NICET (fire protection), or journeyman electrician license are highly desirable
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Familiarity with safety standards and procedures for industrial environments

Responsibilities

- Install, maintain, and repair industrial electrical systems, including wiring, circuits, control panels, and motors.
- Diagnose electrical issues using testing equipment and implement corrective measures.
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety regulations.
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on HVAC systems, including heating, cooling, and ventilation units.
- Inspect and replace filters, belts, and other components to maintain optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot HVAC system malfunctions and ensure proper operation.
- Test, inspect, and maintain fire detection and suppression systems, such as alarms, sprinklers, and extinguishers.
- Ensure systems meet local and national fire safety regulations.
- Respond to system failures and perform necessary repairs or replacements.
- Maintain records of work performed, including inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
- Collaborate with other team members to coordinate maintenance schedules and minimize disruptions.
- Stay updated on new technologies and regulatory requirements relevant to industrial systems.
