GOAL is seeking a proactive and relationship-driven Community Liaison Officer to support the delivery and growth of GOAL’s flagship community fundraising initiatives, including GOAL Mile, Jersey Day, and school-based engagement campaigns. This role will play a key part in stewarding community organisers, strengthening relationships with schools and local stakeholders, and ensuring a high-quality supporter experience. The successful candidate will combine strong relationship management skills with digital competence and operational efficiency.

 

Working as part of the Corporate, Community and Events Fundraising team, the Community Liaison Officer will contribute to income growth, supporter retention, and the continued expansion of GOAL’s community fundraising portfolio.

 

Responsibilities

  • Act as main contact for GOAL’s community and school fundraisers (200+ volunteers).
  • Build and maintain relationships to drive engagement, retention, and income.
  • Provide proactive supporter stewardship and ensure strong connection to GOAL’s impact.
  • Identify opportunities to grow participation and strengthen partnerships.
  • Develop fundraising toolkits and resources.
  • Recruit and nurture new organisers and strengthen regional engagement.
  • Support planning and operational delivery of campaigns.
  • Liaise with schools and community groups regarding participation.
  • Recruitment of new community organisers and schools.
  • Coordinate volunteers during key campaign periods.
  • Monitor participation against targets.
  • Ensure a strong supporter experience throughout.
  • Manage supporter data in CRM (Microsoft 365).
  • Build and deliver targeted email journeys.
  • Support integration of fundraising platforms and digital tools.
  • Maintain accurate records of communications, income, and interactions.
  • Manage online fundraising platforms and monitor activity.
  • Provide guidance to organisers.
  • Promote Tap‑to‑Donate and cashless fundraising.
  • Assist with income reconciliation and reporting with Finance.
  • Ensure compliance with fundraising and data protection standards.
  • Support logistics for community engagement activities.

Requirements

  • Experience working with schools, community groups, and fundraising campaigns/events.
  • Volunteer management experience.
  • Knowledge of the Irish fundraising landscape.
  • Strong relationship management and communication skills.
  • CRM experience (ideally Microsoft Dynamics).
  • Familiarity with online fundraising platforms.
  • Strong organisational and administrative abilities.
  • Full clean driver’s licence and access to a vehicle (essential).
  • Willingness to travel throughout Ireland and Northern Ireland.
  • Flexibility to work evenings/weekends during peak periods.
