Position Overview:
At Goldfish Swim School, we are passionate about teaching kids life-saving water safety skills in a fun, safe, and welcoming environment. We are looking for an energetic, dependable, and strong leader to join our team as a Aquatics Supervisor. This role is responsible for ensuring daily operations on the pool deck run smoothly while supporting staff, maintaining safety standards, and delivering an exceptional experience for families.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, confident leading a team, enjoys working with children, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for two people to fill this role. It is a year round, full time position. One weekend day is a requirement, along with one teaching shift. All training is paid, in house. Health benefits, 401K, and PTO available after maintaining full time hours.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily pool deck operations to ensure a safe, fun, and efficient learning environment
  • Support, coach, and provide feedback to swim instructors and lifeguards during lessons
  • Ensure all lessons are running on schedule and maintaining Goldfish Swim School standards
  • Assist with staff training, development, and onboarding of new team members
  • Monitor class quality and swimmer progression to ensure an outstanding customer experience
  • Communicate professionally and positively with parents regarding swimmer progress and concerns
  • Enforce safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized pool deck environment
  • Step into lessons or assist with coverage as needed
  • Support leadership with operational tasks, staff accountability, and problem-solving during shifts
Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working with children preferred
  • Swim instruction, lifeguarding, aquatics, coaching, or leadership experience preferred
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment
  • Positive attitude with a passion for customer service and child development
  • Reliable, professional, and team-oriented
  • CPR/AED, First Aid, or lifeguard certifications are a plus (or willingness to obtain)
Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods in a warm, humid pool environment
  • Ability to move quickly around the pool deck and assist in emergencies if needed
  • Comfortable being in or around the water regularly
