- Provide and maintain the highest level of customer service to our members
- Provide effective decision-making regarding customer service issues to provide a positive member experience
- Manages member feedback of gym
- Hire, train and schedule all gym-level staff
- Full responsibility of the front desk staff schedule
- Trains and develops front desk team members and/or frontline team members regarding all standard operating processes involving member acquisition and onboarding
- Manage and evaluate the performance of all gym team members
- Oversees team member bi-weekly payroll to ensure all missed punches are corrected and submitted on time with payroll signed off by indicated deadline
- Ensure facility is clean and operationally sound & assist in organizing weights and inspecting equipment to ensure it is in working order
- Effectively manages the operations of the gym, including managing gym-controllable inventory and assets
- Be an ambassador of your gym by promoting and staying aware of your gym's social media and digital presence; making posts and creating content.
- Understands budgeting, inventory, payroll, labor management, and facilities maintenance
- Have business acumen that includes an understanding of the competitive landscape and community around the gym
- Stay aware of all job postings for your gym, and ensure interviews are performed on a consistent basis to prevent any open positions in operations or fitness
- Experience directly managing a team of 8+
- Fitness industry experience preferred
- Promotionally-oriented and have the ability to direct sales through company required outreach programs
- Strong customer service orientation with proven results
- Understanding of performance metrics including P&L, revenue, budgeting, inventory, payroll, cost controls and facilities maintenance
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Open, participative leadership style and drive for excellence
- Strong work ethic, integrity, and professional demeanor
- Must be fitness minded to help support the growth of the gym and gym community
- Must be willing to work occasional weekends, evenings, morning, and nights as needed.
- Availability to cover shifts as needed.
- Must have reliable transportation and reside in the local area, within reason.
