Role Description

Green School Bali is a progressive, dynamic, and wall-less Pre-K to Grade 12 educational institution located in the lush jungle of Bali, Indonesia. The school integrates innovative sustainable practices throughout campus, including solar and micro-hydro renewable energy projects that support our vision of living sustainably and learning in connection with the natural world.

The Lower School consists of the Early Years and Primary Learning Neighborhoods within the larger Green School Bali community. With approximately 260 children from Pre-K to Grade 5, our teaching teams design and deliver learning experiences that are purposeful, inspiring, and deeply connected to place, community, and the natural environment.

We seek a passionate Lower School MLL Integration Teacher (Language Integration Program) to support multilingual learners entering the Primary Learning Neighborhood. The Language Integration Program is a gradual language integration pathway designed for students working within WIDA Levels 1 to 4, supporting learners as they develop foundational to intermediate English proficiency. This role will work with students specifically working within WIDA levels 1-3.

Working in collaboration with the Lower School team, the MLL Integration Teacher provides targeted, small-group language instruction to help students build both social and academic language. The role supports students in developing confidence and independence as they progressively integrate into mainstream classroom learning.

The MLL Integration Teacher plays a key role in assessing student language proficiency, designing responsive groupings, and developing structured schedules and lessons that meet learners at their level. The role also involves building strong partnerships with teachers and families to ensure that language development is connected to academic learning, social integration, and overall well-being.

This person will be excited by the prospect of working in a dynamic environment that responds to the needs of its learners, both as individuals and as a collective, and to the environment in which they learn. They will be energized by—and inspire others toward—the possibilities of blending multiple disciplines into learning experiences that recognize interconnectedness, cultivating an ethic of sustainability and approaches to the world that contribute to the thriving of all life.
