Installing and repairing the metal structures that form the steel skeleton of buildings, bridges and towers Build and install iron or steel girders, columns, and other construction materials to form buildings, bridges and other structures Read and understand blueprints and project layout Putting steel bars in concrete to reinforce concrete structures Cut, position, and bold down steel bars to reinforce concrete Measure and cut metal parts to exact specifications Installing structural and architectural concrete components for buildings, bridges, towers and other structures Erect steel frames Repair or replace existing steel parts of buildings and other structures Welding or bolting steel in place Work with driftpins to align holes in the steel with holes in the framework Signalling crane operators to lift and move steel Set reinforcing bars into forms to hold concrete Operate crane ball and other machinery to move metal pieces into place Installing both scaffolding and lifting equipment Follow all industry and governmental regulations on safety protocols Requirements High school diploma or G.E.D Some experience in welding or construction preferred Ability to unload and stack prefabricated iron and steel Proficient in industry tools and equipment, such as hand and power tools and welding devices Ability to properly signal crane operators who lift and position steel Knowledge of how to handle metal properly Ability to ensure all pieces are fitted properly Excellent communication skills and attention to detail Must be able to work in high places and have a good sense of balance Benefits Rquired Years of experience: 2-3 Years of experience Salary: $38.77 - $47.71 per hour Do follow us on our social media platforms for more job updates We are a Canadian Immigration, Recruitment & Settlement company based in Canada with multiple branches across the globe.
