Psychiatric evaluation of patients. Working together on psychiatric intervention programs. Psychotropic and related drugs are administered. Adherence to non-medicinal therapy regimens is monitored. Getting rid of possibly dangerous and triggering environmental elements. Highly restless patients are restrained, consoled, and occasionally medicated. Keeping track of patients’ health journeys and reporting on significant changes. Providing focused psycho education, especially within families. Requirements An associate’s or bachelor’s degree in nursing is required, with the latter preferred. Pertinent state licensures. PMHNP-BC certification is preferred. BLS certification was obtained. Knowledge of cultural perspectives of psychiatric issues. Well-honed triaging, diagnostic, and clinical judgment capacities. Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Resilience, empathy, and determination.
