House Helper/ Nanny in Greece

Key Responsibilities Housekeeping · Clean and maintain bedrooms, bathrooms, living areas, kitchens and other household spaces to a high standard. · Complete laundry, ironing, folding and proper storage of clothing and household linen. · Change bed linen, make beds and keep wardrobes and storage areas organized. · Clean and care for household items, surfaces and equipment using appropriate products and methods. · Assist with grocery organization, household supplies and basic stock monitoring. · Prepare simple meals and snacks, assist with food preparation and learn basic Greek dishes as required. · Support general household routines and cooperate with other domestic employees where applicable. Childcare · Supervise the children and ensure their safety, comfort and wellbeing at all times. · Support daily routines such as dressing, bathing, meals, naps, playtime and bedtime, according to the children's ages. · Prepare simple, nutritious meals and snacks for the children. · Organize age-appropriate indoor and outdoor activities and encourage positive behaviour and development. · Keep children's bedrooms, play areas, clothing, toys and personal items clean and organized. · Accompany children to school, activities or appointments when requested and legally permitted. · Provide childcare during holidays, when the regular nanny is unavailable or whenever the family's schedule requires it. · Communicate clearly with the parents regarding the children's routines, wellbeing and any concerns. Requirements · Good spoken English is essential. · Previous paid experience in housekeeping, childcare or a combined domestic role. · Previous work experience outside the candidate's home country and the ability to adapt to a new culture and environment. · At least one verifiable reference from a current or previous employer. · Basic cooking skills and willingness to learn how to prepare simple Greek meals. · Comfortable working in a household with pets. · Willing and able to work respectfully with other household employees where applicable. · Trustworthy, discreet, patient, organized, flexible and attentive to detail. · Physically able to carry out normal housekeeping and childcare duties. · A local or international driving licence is an advantage but is not mandatory. Benefits · Private accommodation, normally a private room or, in some households, a small separate flat. · Food provided by the employer. · Medical insurance paid separately by the employer. · Flight ticket to and return ticket upon completion of employment, subject to the employment agreement. · One weekly rest day, normally not Sunday. · Three-year contract, renewable by mutual agreement and subject to applicable law.
