Pay

:

HK$97,787 to HK$116,855 (HGPS point 34 to 39) per month including Monthly Allowance

Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff upon completion of the contract subject to satisfactory performance.

Key Responsibilities:

1.

Take charge of a group of related medical laboratories / a major laboratory dealing with Microbiology.

2.

Assist the Department in total quality management on Pathology services and coordinate all issues related to laboratory accreditation.

3.

Carry out laboratory managerial duties including human resources management, budgetary forecast and control and procurement.

4.

Plan and monitor new services.

5.

Evaluate new methodologies and instruments.

6.

Control, maintain and improve the quality and safety standards of laboratory services.

7.

Provide support and guidance to staff, including their professional development.

8.

Co-ordinate clinical training for students from academic institutions.

9.

Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor(s).

Entry Requirements:

1.

MSc in Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent; and

2.

Be a registered Part I (full registration) Medical Laboratory Technologist and have a valid Practicing Certificate under the Allied Health Professions Ordinance; and

3.

At least 7 years' experience in Medical Technologist rank.
