We are looking for a Language Assessment Team Lead to lead our assessment operations and help ensure that young people are accurately assessed, pathwayed, and connected to life-changing opportunities.
🚀 About the Role
As the Language Assessment Team Lead, you will be responsible for driving the daily delivery of Harambee’s language assessment function. You'll lead a team of assessors, oversee assessment quality and efficiency, and ensure candidates move seamlessly through the assessment pipeline.
This is an exciting opportunity for a results-driven leader who enjoys coaching teams, improving processes, and using data to drive operational excellence.
🎯 What You'll Be Doing
- Lead and coordinate daily language assessment operations.
- Schedule and prioritise assessments in line with employer demand.
- Monitor assessment pipelines and proactively address bottlenecks.
- Supervise, coach, and support assessors to deliver high-quality outcomes.
- Ensure consistency through quality assurance and calibration processes.
- Track team performance against targets and implement corrective actions where needed.
- Ensure assessment results and reports are shared accurately and on time.
- Collaborate with internal teams to support smooth candidate progression into programmes and opportunities.
✅ What We're Looking For
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or Advanced Diploma in a related field.
- At least 2 years' experience in assessment, training, talent operations, or a similar environment.
- Fluency in English and French (minimum B2 CEFR spoken and written proficiency).
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital assessment/tracking platforms.
- Comfortable working with data and live operational systems.
