Back up Receiving Inspector- Day Shift (Open to Internal candidates only)

Summary:

Inspects material, assemblies, sub-assemblies and/or products for conformance to specifications.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

·        Understand Quality Assurance Specification requirements and complete specified testing.

·        Compares parts with drawing/specifications or sample model to ensure completion, correctness and conformity.

·        Verifies specified dimensions and characteristics using prescribed test equipment and procedures.

·        Inspects parts for structural flaws.

·        Identifies rejected parts with prescribed methods.

·        Initiates incidents (NMR’s/Deviations) as required.

·        Assists in investigation of non-conforming parts.

·        Maintains records of all defects and number of parts accepted/rejected.

·        Uses statistical sampling plans when required to conduct inspections.

·        Assists in training new inspectors.

·        Responsible for general housekeeping of work area.

·        Familiarize yourself with a variety of processes to allow you to work across a number of product lines.

·        Other reasonable duties as required.

Must be able to multitask and have a good sense of urgency (work efficiently in a fast-paced environment).
