Under the general direction of the Service Operations Manager, this position exists to maintain production by performing daily facility maintenance tasks and oversees site appearance and cleanliness across all locations in San Diego. Position is also a backup to the wash-rack attendant and will perform deliveries and pickups as needed.

Demonstrates strict adherence to Hawthorne Safety Policies and Procedures including the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE), forklift safety, rigging & cribbing safety.
Keeps facilities equipment functioning by cleaning, lubricating, and greasing parts with a wash rack steam cleaner and high-pressure washer.
Has the ability to report to various branch locations as needed throughout San Diego County to perform required facility maintenance tasks and organization.
Has the ability to work independently and/or with various location managers as needed to complete required tasks.
Is a self-starter with strong communication and time management skills.
Prolongs endurance of facilities equipment by completing preventive maintenance schedules.
Documents actions by completing maintenance logs.
Completes deliveries and pickups by identifying destination; selecting route; driving the vehicle.
Maintains continuity among work teams by communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
Determines condition of facilities equipment by inspecting equipment before and after use, reporting damages and discrepancies.
Assists in toolroom operations as needed to ensure tooling and consumables are distributed accordingly, tracking tool check-in and check-out.
Assists in wash rack operations as needed to ensure equipment cleanliness meets contamination control requirements.
Maintains stock inventory to determine amount available, anticipating needed stock; placing and expediting orders for stock; verifying receipt of stock.
Contributes to a team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Capable and flexible to perform other duties as assigned by reporting manager.
Contribute to team objectives through collaboration, continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and the performance of other duties and special projects as assigned by management.

Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent; or one (1) year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must have good working knowledge of MS Office programs.
Must be forklift certified.
Must have a valid Class C California Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
Must have good communication skills and proper business etiquette.
Ability to multi-task and complete assignments.

Lifting: Raises or lowers parts weighing up to 60lbs.
Reaching: Extends hands and arms in any direction.
Stooping: Bends body downward and forward by bending at knees or waist.
Standing: Remains in standing position, if required to perform various functions of the job.
Vision: Reads paperwork and records on the computer.
Talking: Communicates vis telecommunications and in person.
Sitting: Sits at desk for minimal amount of time.

Noise: Works in conditions with constant or intermittent noise.
Temp/Weather: Works in both inside and outside all weather environments.
