Assistant Project Manager III

The Assistant Project Manager III (APM III) role serves as a high-level lead for electrical construction projects ranging from $10M - $100M+ in electrical scope. The APM III serves as part of and supports a highly-skilled project management team dedicated to specialized electrical infrastructure projects, ensuring flawless execution in high-stakes environments where failure is not an option. This role is a senior-level bridge between standard project management and full leadership.

  Lead the full lifecycle of high-value electrical packages including specialized Owner Furnished, Contractor Installed (OFCI) equipment management.

  Identify and negotiate complex change orders and field directives proactively to mitigate risks to project financials and schedule.

  Direct multidisciplinary trade partners and assigned commissioning phases to meet rigorous performance and redundancy standards.

  Manage detailed project budgets, cost-to-complete forecasts, and labor productivity tracking.

  Supervise and mentor Project Engineers, and APM I and II, ensuring they adhere to various electrical code and safety requirements.

  Serve as the point of contact for owners and general contractors, responding to correspondence, providing reports and documentation, and leading meetings as assigned.

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering or equivalent Journeyman/Master Electrician experience.

• 5+ years of dedicated electrical project management support, with 2 years of demonstrated experience supporting large, complex projects.

• Advanced software proficiency (Procore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6)

• Familiar with VDC/BIM workflows.

• Experience managing project budgets, schedules, and resources successfully.

• Ability to read and understand construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.

• Expertise in construction documentation and associated processes.

• Deep understanding of electrical systems, codes, and safety regulations.

• Ability to prioritize and manage competing deadlines appropriately.

• Strong accuracy and attention to detail.

• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.

• Ability to work as part of a team or independently.

• Project Management Professional (PMP), LEED AP, or specialized electrical certifications (NFPA 70E)
