Full-time Environmental Construction Foreman needed for our Specialty Construction Group based in Woodbine, MD. Candidate must be dependable, enthusiastic, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task while working in a fast-paced environment. Hands-on UST/AST installation, removal, environmental remediation and service experience required.
This position will be responsible for the planning, safety, and execution of environmental remediation and underground/aboveground storage tank (UST/AST) projects. Responsibilities for this position will include leading a field crew, performing and overseeing field crews that perform UST and AST installations, removals, inspections, repairs, and related environmental remediation activities; coordinating labor, equipment, subcontractors, and materials to support project schedules and production goals; ensuring compliance with project requirements, environmental regulations, and Hillis-Carnes safety policies; ensuring quality, productivity, and safety performance; reviewing project plans, permits, and specifications prior to project mobilization; maintaining project documentation including daily field reports, safety records, inspection reports, and equipment logs; and coordinating with project managers, environmental professionals, clients, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies throughout all phases of project execution.
Additional Duties
· Daily interaction with Hillis-Carnes project managers, branch managers, environmental professionals, subcontractors, regulators, and clients regarding project scheduling, logistics, and field operations.
· Coordinate utility clearances, permit requirements, and agency inspections as required for project activities.
· Assist with project planning, estimating, scheduling, and resource allocation.
· Order and coordinate equipment, tools, materials, and rental resources needed for project execution.
· Prepare daily reports and project documentation.
· Control project costs to maintain project profitability.
· Attend pre-construction meetings, project progress meetings.
· Assist with training, mentoring, and development of field personnel.
· Support business development efforts by providing field input for project estimates and proposals.
Requirements
· Preferred 5+ years of experience in environmental construction, remediation, and UST/AST services.
· Direct experience with UST and AST installation, removal, inspection, and service work required.
· Current Maryland UST System Technician and/or UST Installer Certification required, or the ability to obtain Maryland UST certification within six months of employment.
· Experience leading field personnel and complying with project requirements, environmental regulations, and project/company safety policies.
· Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and state environmental regulations.
· OSHA 30-Hour and/or HAZWOPER certificate and confined space certification preferred.
· Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
· Ability to travel and work out of town (within Mid-Atlantic Region) and occasional weekends on projects as required.
· Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and make sound field decisions.
· Perform other duties as required to assist the Specialty Construction Group in running a successful operation.
