Join our team and play a vital role in keeping our automated sortation systems, conveyors, and facility equipment running safely and efficiently. You'll be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving a range of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems in a fast-paced operational environment.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Carry out planned preventive and reactive maintenance on plant and facility equipment.
- →Diagnose and repair faults on conveyors, automation systems, motors, sensors, PLCs, VFDs, and control panels.
- →Respond quickly to breakdowns to minimise downtime and maintain operational performance.
- →Perform mechanical maintenance, including work on bearings, belts, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
- →Support the installation and upgrade of machinery and equipment.
- →Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and spare parts inventory.
- →Follow all health and safety procedures, including risk assessments and PPE requirements.
- →Collaborate with operations teams and provide clear shift handovers to ensure smooth site performance.
- Level 3 Electrical or Mechanical Engineering qualification (minimum).
- Experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance within an industrial or automated environment.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Basic knowledge of PLCs, motor controls, networks, hydraulics, and pneumatics is beneficial.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
