PURPOSE OF POSITION
The Grains Relationship Manager will support the US Agriculture desk with servicing existing clients with risk management strategies, expanding the business with new opportunities, and building their understanding and application of OTC and listed derivatives products in agribusiness risk management. The ideal candidate will blend client service, new business growth, and personal development. The Grains Relationship Manager acts as the primary point of contact for clients, bridging commercial needs with technical solutions, and coordinating with internal teams to deliver high-quality service.
KEY ACTIVITIES (Description with details and main outputs)
- Manage and grow a portfolio of clients, ensuring strong and lasting relationships.
- Understand client needs and provide consultative support in commodity derivatives and structured solutions.
- Work closely with Portfolio Managers to design and implement risk management strategies.
- Deliver presentations, market insights, and reports to clients, providing actionable recommendations.
- Act as liaison between clients and internal teams (Sales, Trading, Operations, Quant) to ensure seamless delivery of services.
- Monitor client activity, performance, and satisfaction, proactively addressing issues or opportunities.
- Support business development efforts by identifying cross-selling opportunities and new prospects.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of commodities, derivatives, and market trends.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Agriculture.
- At least 2–3 years of experience in grains merchandising, brokerage, agribusiness sales, or related services.
- Understanding of agriculture markets and client profiles, including but not limited to: farmers, coops, elevators, ethanol plants, mills, feed lots, and other relevant agriculture entities.
- Existing network of clients or connections in the agricultural industry.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% of time.
- Familiar with Microsoft Office and AI tools.
- Active Series 3 License, or willingness to acquire one with company support upon joining.

- Knowledge of risk management strategies in international markets.
- Professional certifications (CFA, FRM, or similar).
- Familiar with futures and options usage in physical agriculture hedging.
- Proficiency in Spanish and/or Portuguese.
