Shop Technician

Job Duties:

• →Conduct repairs on aerospace components and assemblies
• →Disassemble and rebuild aerospace components and assemblies using light hand tools
• →Test assemblies using electronic and mechanical test equipment
• →Dimensional inspection of aerospace style components using various measurement equipment (calipers, micrometers, height gage, gage pins, optical comparator, CMM, etc.) against blueprints
• →Process parts according to company quality system documentation

Education/Experience:

• →High school diploma or equivalent
• →Experience working in a production/manufacturing shop environment is preferred

Required Skills: 

• →Strong critical thinking skills - Must be able to understand and troubleshoot technical processes
• →Must be familiar with and comfortable operating electrical and mechanical test equipment
• →Strong communication skills (verbal and written) – Must be able to read, write and speak English
• →Good interpersonal skills including the ability to function as a strong member of a team
• →20/40 vision (corrected)
• →Organizational skills, team player, problem solving and dependable
• →Timely completion of repairs while focusing 100% on quality and details

Other:

• →Must be able to pick up and carry up to 25 pounds
• →Overtime may be required based on shop workload
• →Punctual and regular attendance is a requirement
• →Must comply with DOT drug and alcohol policy
• →This is an entry level position
