Powder Coating Technician- Part Time

• →Prepare surfaces to be coated and mask as needed
• →Optimally hung parts in preparation for efficient coating operations
• →Set up and maintain equipment (spray guns, booth, filters, etc.)
• →Operate equipment and machines in accordance with specific operational and safety instructions
• →Prepare ceramic coating mixings
• →Apply coatings following specifications as per instructions
• →Follow quality control and production processing procedures
• →Identify quality control issues and recommend solutions to quality challenges
• →Remove the product from the racks and disperse to the proper location
• →Wrap and package products correctly to be shipped and/or picked up
• →Spray powder on to parts using correct techniques to assure even, consistent and optimal coverage
• →Examination of finished parts to ensure conformance to specifications and quality control
• →Maintain proper housekeeping and keep all equipment and workspaces neat and clean
• →Other duties as assigned

• up to 3 years

• High school diploma or equivalent; 1+ year experience in an industrial painting or coatings environment preferred.
• Knowledge of electrocoating or similar finishing processes is a plus.
• Knowledge of wastewater treatment is preferred.
• Basic understanding of electrical and chemical processes used in e-coating. Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of basic chemistry.
• This role subject to International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements and as such, U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident or U.S. Person Status Required.
