Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Set up and operate CNC sheet fiber laser equipment to produce parts according to drawings and production requirements.
- →Load and unload sheet material onto the laser.
- →Select and install appropriate cutting materials, tooling, and consumables.
- →Review and verify machine programs before beginning production.
- →Monitor laser operations and make adjustments as needed to maintain quality and productivity.
- →Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet dimensional and quality requirements.
- →Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
- →Use measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify part dimensions.
- →Identify and troubleshoot basic machine and cutting issues.
- →Perform routine machine maintenance and housekeeping.
- →Monitor material usage and minimize scrap whenever possible.
- →Maintain accurate production and quality records.
- →Work closely with programmers, engineers, supervisors, and other production personnel.
- →Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- →Follow all company safety procedures and manufacturing standards.
Requirements
~1 min read- Previous experience operating a CNC laser, preferably a fiber laser.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Basic understanding of CNC machine operation and setup.
- Ability to use precision measuring equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable attendance and willingness to work second shift.
- Ability to safely handle sheet metal and operate manufacturing equipment.
- Willingness to learn new equipment, processes, and manufacturing technologies.
- Experience operating a fiber sheet laser.
- Experience with Cincinnati laser equipment.
- Basic knowledge of metrology.
- Experience working with a variety of sheet metal materials and thicknesses.
- Previous experience in a fabrication or manufacturing environment.
